Our continuing NIH support depends on the acknowledgment of the
resources that were provided to you by the GCRC in all publications
arising from your research project. In addition, we would greatly
appreciate your help in increasing our General Clinical Research
Center's visibility by mentioning our support for your study in
other public forums such as television or newspaper interviews and
articles. We have listed below the specific text of the acknowledgment
as requested by the National Center for Research Resources / NIH
to be used in the submission of any manuscript, abstract or book
chapter. Please provide us with a reprint of your publication. We
are required by our NIH program office to provide this information
on an annual basis.
Publications arising from research projects involving GCRC / PCRC
resources should acknowledge this support by stating:
- “Supported by Grant M01-RR020359
from the General Clinical Research Center Program of the National
Center for Research Resources, National Institutes of Health”
and
- Indicating in the Methods
section or case report that “the research participants
were studied at the Georgetown University Medical Center’s General
Clinical Research Center and/or at Children’s
National Medical Center.”
Use of the GCRC is contingent
upon meeting this requirement. NIH funding to our center may be
jeopardized if investigators do not comply with this NIH program
requirement.
Please also contact the Medical
Center’s Office of Communications at 687-5100 whenever your studies
are selected for publication in a peer-reviewed journal. Please
be sure to contact this office well in advance - preferable as soon
as you receive notice that you will be published.
